Meet the Innkeeper
Q: Tell me about yourself.
A: I have lived on Cape Cod since I was 10 years old. I am originally from New Jersey and Pennsylvania. I suppose at this point I would be considered a native.
Q: How long have you been in the hospitality industry?
A: When I was 18 years old, I was attending Cape Cod Community College and was looking for part-time employment. I applied and was hired at a hotel in Hyannis. The part-time work quickly turned into full-time as I thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality industry. I have been enjoying this business ever since.
Q: What do you like about Inn at Swan River?
A: The Inn at Swan River is operated by Beachtree Properties. The expectations of Beachtree Properties are high. Consistency and guest experience are the most important parts of my job. I want to be sure that I create memories and continue to have guests come back to stay. I guess you can say I would like the Inn at Swan River to be the guests' home away from home.
Q: What are your favorite things about Cape Cod?
A: There is so much to do on Cape Cod all year long. My favorite activity would be walking at the beach or on the many walking trails on the Cape with my family. My husband and I feel fortunate to be bringing up our three children on Cape Cod. The town of Dennis is a small town and very close-knit community.
Q: How do you balance having the highest service scores among the Beachtree Properties while raising three young children?
A: My staff is exceptional and they make my job easy. They have a tremendous amount of pride in the Inn and their responsibilities.
Q: Anything you would like guests to know?
A: I find working in the hotel industry very gratifying. Operating a small property enables me to meet each guest. This is important in building relationships that last a lifetime.
